I fell head over heels for traveling in 2019 when I went abroad to South Africa: my first solo traveling trip. I’ve had an incredible ride of traveling throughout Europe for months at a time, living in Africa for a bit, and moving transcontinentally across the United States. And the affair continues into my twenties with spontaneous trips whenever I get the chance to go abroad. 

Each time I come back from my travels though, I get asked, “But who did you go with?,” “How did you afford that?,” “How did you meet people?,” “Did you feel safe?,” and “Who is that boy?” And I’ve finally decided to make a platform that I can write about all my experiences in hopes to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone to do the same. Except the last question, this isn’t Sex and the City, despite how much I’d love to be Carrie. I feel there are many misconceptions about solo traveling from the one horror story you’ve heard from your mom about her best friend’s niece’s daughter to the perfectly edited color-saturated social media videos and pictures. I wanted to create a travel blog that feels more like a conversation with a friend that gets into the real moments in traveling and addresses how attainable it can be.

This is a place to get inspired, escape for a bit, and explore new spots in the world. And also have a laugh. Feel free to join!

Side note: I am still in progress with working towards this vision I have of what I want my travel blog to be, so things may change often here, as things in general just do. But I am very passionate about this and so excited to be able to have a place to share my creativity. I’m going to keep it very casual because I am by no means an expert in traveling, just someone who is very passionate about it and has learned a few things along the way. Thanks for reading along.
